Engineering
The National Institute of Technology Agartala, was earlier known as Tripura Engineering College.The college was established in 1965, and was
affiliated with Calcutta University.Initially the college began teaching in Civil, Mechanical and
Electrical Engineering disciplines.These courses were similar with course curriculum of Bengal
Engineering College and approved with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
Later the college recognized as Regional Engineering College (REC), Tripura.
