Environment of IIIT Hyderabad

A large number of technical activities and extra curricular activities held round the year in the campus of IIIT Hyderabad where student takes active participations.The students from other similar institutes participate in the technical fests of IIIT Hyderabad.

Besides this, students also avail other avenues of bonding with their colleagues and the faculty members

The students of senior batches get chances to teach the junior batches which helps in expanding their knowledge horizon.Students are also made in charge of laboratories and academic committees supervised by faculty member. Each student of IIIT Hyderabad gets the support of a faculty member as his/her full time counselor.The counselor help student in overcoming all sort of problems including the academics. All the festivals like Diwali, Holi etc are celebrated in the campus.A number of sporting events and sport competitions are held during the sports week of IIIT Hyderabad.

The Students Club at IIIT Hyderabad is responsible to conduct different events from time to time.A short descriptions of these clubs is given below-

Photography club organizes a monthly event "Best Snap of the Month".The best snaps are published in "ECHOES".The club also organizes annual events.

The dance club is a bundle of excitement and energy.The dance club conducts classes in western dance, classical dance etc.besides the regular performances.

The IIIT Hyderabad dramatics club is a forum (a professional drama troupe) of highly motivated artistes.These artistes are led by professional theater artiste Mr.Praveen.

The literary club conducts different events, debates, declamation contests, writing contests and talk sessions among other activities from time to time.The "Felicity" and "Splash", are mainly conducted by the literary club.

The movie club is administered by the students committee.The club screens a movie every Saturday night at 10 PM in the auditorium hall.A fee amount of Rs.2 is collected from the students towards maintainance etc.

The Music Club conducts classes and provides guidance to students eager to learn music.The vocal training in Guitar, Violin etc is provided.The expert guidance of Mr.Vasudevan is also available.

Regular meetings at Quiz club are conducted on Thursdays.The students of all batches take active part in quiz contests.
