The International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIITH) is
located in Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh. Hyderabad is well known
for its people, culture and heritage and famous for it's monument the Chaarminar.
Hyderabad has many synonyms to its credit, viz; Nizam City, Cyberabad, Silicon
Valley, Hi Tech City, Knowledge Super Highway etc. The city is also famous for
its Pharmaceutical Industries.
The International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIH)
was founded in 1998 with support from the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Now,
the institute is self supporting autonomous institution and has targets to
produce well trained IT manpower for the service of IT and allied industries.
To fulfill its mission the institute has well designed curriculum for
training people at undergraduate, post graduate and research level. The
institute has Deemed University status and hence awards its own degree and
diplomas at distinct level. The institute is fully committed to make India
self reliant in the field of Information Technology and allied technologies
and hence conducts research in diverge areas of IT sciences.
The International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad
(IIITH) being a reservoir on information on Information Technology makes
close ties with national and international institutes of repute as part of
its' academic and research initiatives. The institute works in close cooperation
with different corporate in order to identify thrust areas where IT services
are required for improving yields.
The IIIT Hyderabad research center targets research work according to
industry demand. A number of national and international companies are actively
involved in the academic and research activities through corporate schools.
These companies include- IBM, Signal Tree, Motorola, Oracle and Satyam.
In coming years, the International Institute of Information Technology
Hyderabad (IIITH) will be leader in providing IT technologies and manpower to world economic industry.
