These responsibilities range from comprehensive, long-range career planning and complex contract negotiation to suggesting a lyric change or commenting on a new recording. A good word to describe a personal manager would be juggler. The personal manager is a planner, adviser, organizer, strategist, overseer, psychologist, manipulator, coordinator, retailer, traveling companion and friend. The exact duties of a personal manager are directly dependent on the needs of the artist.
