The below mentioned are the requirements for the Eligibility for the Soldier post in Army.
Age: - 17 �½ to 21 years
Educational Qualification: - Should be passed in S.S.C/Matriculation with an aggregate of 45%, and 32% in each subject.
Physical requirements: - Minimum height of 165-170cms depending on the region from where the candidate belongs to and appropriate weight based on the height of the candidate.
Medical requirements: - The candidate appearing for the post of Soldier should be physically healthy and mentally fit according to the requirements of the post.
Chest: - Minimum 5cms expansion
The candidate should have a good ear and should have good vision. He should be able to read the 6/6 distant vision chart with each eye. The candidate should have colour vision of CP-3 and should be able to recognize red and green colours.The candidate should have sufficient number of natural Gum and Teeth i.e.., Min 14 Dental points.
The candidate is not eligible for the Soldier post if he is having diseases like Deformity of Bones, Piles and Hydrocele.
Physical Fitness test:
The following test is carried out for Physical Fitness Test which carries about 100Marks: -

1. 2. Pull ups
1. 3. Balance
1. 4. 9feet ditch
Common Entrance Examination: -
A Written examination is conducted on the last Sunday of every month. The exam paper comprises of Paper-1 and Paper-2.
Paper-I: - Total Marks - 100
Duration-30 minutes.
Pass marks-16.
Topics- Chemistry, Botany and Biology.
