Courses & Eligibility

A number of engineering and technological institutes in India are now offering courses in the field of fire protection engineering. These courses are available as certificate courses, diploma courses, advanced diploma courses, undergraduate degree courses and even postgraduate diploma courses. In order to pursue an undergraduate, diploma or certificate course in fire protection engineering, one should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) with science subjects, from a recognized Board. For the PG courses, one should have completed graduation in science and engineering, from any recognized Institute or a University.

Many engineering and technological institutes in India are now enrolling students to courses in the field of fire protection engineering. Some of the reputed institutes are National Fire Academy (Vadodara), Institution of Fire Engineers (Delhi), Indian Institute of Fire Engineering (Delhi), International Institute of Fire Engineering (Pune), Safety Engineering and Security Management (Pune), National Institute of Fire Management (Chennai), College of Fire Technology (Gujarat) and Institute of Fire Engineering and Safety Management (Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Kakinada, Bhubaneswar, Rourkela etc).
