Sub: Clarification on Eligibility for appearing 5th semester exam-Reg. ***

It is to inform that the Promotion rules and Eligibility rules for appearing in

examinations are provided in the preamble (Placed on website along with C­14, 4th semester syllabus).

However, a clarification regarding eligibility for appearing C-14, 5th semester examination is given below for ready reference.

ELIGIBILITY FOR APPEARING 5th SEMESTER EXAM For Regular candidates:

1. Required percentage of attendance in 5th semester.

2. Should have obtained the eligibility to appear for 4th semester.

Means that - If a candidate who was NOT ELIGIBLE to write 4th semester examination but promoted to 5th semester by paying promotion fee - is eligible to write 5th semester Examination as and when he/she gets eligibility to appear for 4th semester exams- then the candidate can appear for both 4th semester and 5th semester examinations simultaneously

For /VC candidates:

1. Required percentage of attendance in 5th semester.

2. Should have APPEARED/ATTEMPTED 4th semester exam.

3. Should not have failed in more than four backlog subjects of 3^rd Semester
