CM Jagan gives his approval to fill 14,200 positions in the AP Health Department

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has given the go-ahead for a massive recruitment drive in the medical and health departments to fill 14,200 positions in order to provide better services to the people. On 24th Sept, the Chief Minister held a review meeting on medical, health, Covid-19, and vaccination issues at his camp office in Tadepalli. Jagan directed officials to fill vacant positions spanning from primary health care centres (PHCs) to teaching hospitals, and instructed them to begin the recruitment process should start from October 1 and be completed by November 15.

According to Jagan Mohan Reddy, the recruitment of 14,200 hospital positions spanning from PHCs and medical colleges to teaching hospitals should begin on October 1 and be completed by November 15. He directed officials to ensure that there is no staff shortage in hospitals, stating that despite the state governments huge investment in hospital construction, a lack of staff in hospitals had become a major concern that needed to be addressed. He directed officials to take steps to ensure the highest level of medical quality in government hospitals.
