Students who were scheduled to appearfor the Central Board of Secondary Educations (CBSE) class 12 board exams will now be evaluated using a specific methodology. The board is likely to grade class 12 students based on their three-year performance, which includes class 12 pre-boards and final exams in grades 10 and 11.Most panellists like this as a way of evaluation because it is considered toprovide a holistic assessment of a students capabilities and performances.

According to the criteria being reviewed by the panellists, the class 12 pre-board exams are projected to have a maximum weightage of 40% in the final evaluation, while both classes 10 and 11 are predicted to carry a 30% weightage. While the majority of the panellists support this mode, a final decision has yet to be made.

Following a postponement of the original deadline, the 13-member panel is now anticipated to complete its class 12 evaluation formulae today and present it to the Supreme Court on June 17th. If the SC approves the criterion, it will be implemented, and a result date will be announced shortly.
