The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to postpone the national entrance exams until June 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown
The exams of NEET and JEE Main April 2020 is postponed due to government declared lockdowns. Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has announced that in the latter part of June, NTA will conduct its exams.
Pokhriyal also said the spread of Coronavirus in the country had a profound effect on the academic calendar that resulted in academic loss for students and the education sector. Though reiterating the significance of compensating for the time lost due to COVID-19 he added that the students well-being remained the governments top priority.
Addressing the reports that NTA NEET UG 2020 and JEE Main 2020 will be held in July a senior official at NTA said the Agency has not yet taken any such decision.
