The Central Board of Secondary Education announced the results for UGC- National Eligibility Test (NET) on Tuesday evening. The board conducted the UGC NET 2018 exam in 91 cities at 2,082 centres across the country in 84 different subjects.
As many as 11, 48,235 registered candidates among which 8, 59,498 candidates appeared for JRF and assistant professor papers. This is the maximum number of candidates to have registered ever for the exam. Among all the candidates appeared, only 55,872 candidates qualified for eligibility for assistant professor and 3,929 candidates qualified for the JRF and eligible for assistant professor.
