Teachers seek Telugu medium in all schools

The Andhra Pradesh Upadhyaya Sangham members on Monday demanded Telugu medium of instruction in all the government and private schools.

In a dharna before the Collectorate here, the protesting teachers demanded introduction of English medium in municipal high schools in a phased manner. They also demanded scrapping of contributory pension scheme and revival of the previous pension scheme, declaration of pending DA, release of 10-month PRC arrears, extension of employees health scheme in corporate hospitals to all aided teachers, filling of language pandit and physical education teacher posts by promotion and issue of G.O. on fee reimbursement.
