Andhra Pradesh Colleges to open on October 15

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has directed the authorities to start colleges in the state on October 15. He conducted a review on higher education. Jagan approved the replacement of assistant professors in universities. It was decided to conduct joint entrance examinations in September. He said universities would be set up in Vijayanagaram and Prakasam districts. It was suggested that the gross enrollment should be taken up to 90 percent and steps should be taken to get 10 months apprenticeship in three year and four-year degree courses. And then another year of skill development and job creation courses will be taught. CM Jagan directed the authorities to take strict action against the colleges which are committing irregularities.
