To achieve promotion as Government Teachers in the state, it is mandatory for educators to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), as per the regulations of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). In order to obtain eligibility for promotion, regular teachers must successfully clear the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) as per the regulations set by the education department.

హైదరాబాద్‌: రాష్ట్రంలో ప్రభుత్వ ఉపాధ్యాయులు పదోన్నతి పొందాలంటే టెట్‌ ఉత్తీర్ణులు కావడం తప్పనిసరి. ఈ మేరకు సర్కారు తుది నిర్ణయానికి వచ్చింది. విద్యాహక్కు చట్టం, జాతీయ ఉపాధ్యాయ విద్యామండలి(ఎన్‌సీటీఈ) నిబంధనల ప్రకారం.. టీచర్లుగా నియమితులైన వారు పదోన్నతి పొందాలంటే ఉపాధ్యాయ అర్హత పరీక్ష(టెట్‌)లో పాస్‌ కావాలని విద్యాశాఖ ఉన్నతాధికారులు సైతం ఇటీవల సీఎం రేవంత్‌రెడ్డికి వివరించారు. ఈ క్రమంలోనే టెట్‌ నిర్వహణపై విద్యాశాఖ దృష్టిసారించింది. ఈ పరిణామం వేల మంది సీనియర్‌ ఉపాధ్యాయుల్లో అలజడి రేపుతోంది.
