1.In the references 2nd to 4th read above, Government of Telangana imposed a state-wide lockdown from 22.03.2020 to 07.05.2020 to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
2.In the reference 5th read above, the Commissioner of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad informed that that the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Telangana State announced that as there is no detention system for classes I to IX in the State, there is no need to conduct examinations and all the students are to be promoted to the next higher classes for the academic year 2020-21, as the Summative Assessment (SA-2) examinations for Classes I to IX during the Academic Year, 2019-20 could not be conducted as scheduled in the reference 1st read above due to lockdown and requested the Government to issue necessary orders in the matter.
3.Government, after careful examination of the matter and keeping in view of hardship caused due to Covid-19 pandemic, hereby decide to cancel the Summmative Assessment - II Examinations for the Classes I to IX and order to promote all the students of Classes I to IX studying in Government, Aided and Private Unaided Schools during the Academic Year, 2019-20, to next higher Classes in the Academic Year, 2020-21.
4.The Commissioner of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad shall take necessary action in the matter, accordingly.
