Sushmita Sen Receives International Association of Working Women Award:

• Sushmita Sen, a Bollywood actress, has received the International Association of Working Women Award at the Washington DC South Asian Film Festival (DCSAFF) 2021.

• For her work on `Aarya 2,` the former Miss Universe received an award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a television series.

• The Aarya 2 series, created by Ram Madhvani, will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on December 10, 2021.

• The DC South Asian Film Festival (DCSAFF) 2021 is set to run from January 16 to January 30, and will feature the best in alternative cinema from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, and Sri Lanka.

• Sushmita Sen was honoured by the DC South Asian Film Festival for her outstanding performance as a female actor in a series.

• In addition to her awards for Aarya, Sushmita received the Champions Of Change Award 2021, which was a National Award For Social Welfare & Women Empowerment last year.

• The first episode of the series was nominated for Best Drama Series at the International Emmy Awards last year.

• Despite not winning, their nomination was a source of pride for the citizens.
