Ayushman CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) Scheme Launched:
In order to expand the benefits of the central health insurance program to all members of the Armed Police Forces of the country, the `Ayushman CAPF` scheme has been initiated.
Highlights:
♦ According to this scheme, "Ayushman Bharat: Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana" will cover approximately 28 CAPF, Assamese rifles and National Security Guard (NSG) personnel and their families (AB PM-JAY).
♦ PM-JAY Main Features: The biggest health insurance/guarantee scheme in the world, completely funded by the government.
♦ For secondary and tertiary nursing hospitalizations in public and private intensive hospitals in India, it offers insurance of 5 lakhs per family per year.
♦ Insurance: Registered for these benefits are over 1,074 million poor and disadvantaged eligible families (approximately 50 crore beneficiaries).
♦ Provide beneficiaries with cashless access to health services at the service point.
♦ Eligibility: For the number of families, age or gender, there are no limitations. All the pre-existing conditions are covered from the first day. Cover, such as diagnosis and medications, up to 3 days before hospitalization and up to 15 days following hospitalization. It is possible to use the advantages of the scheme around the world. The program covers nearly 1,393 treatments, covering all treatment-related expenses, including but not limited to drugs, supplies, diagnostic services, physician fees, room fees, surgeon fees, OT and ICU fees, etc. The health care service reimbursement of public hospitals is the same as that of private hospitals.
