BITSAT Pattern 2024:
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) follows a specific pattern that evaluates a candidate`s knowledge and aptitude in various subjects. Here`s an overview of the BITSAT exam pattern:
Mode: BITSAT is a computer-based test. Candidates take the exam on a computer at designated test centers.
Duration: The exam duration is 3 hours (180 minutes). There is a built-in timer on the computer screen to help candidates keep track of the time.
Sections: BITSAT consists of four sections:
a.Physics: This section contains questions related to various topics in physics, such as mechanics, electricity, magnetism, optics, and modern physics.
b.Chemistry: This section covers topics like physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and organic chemistry.
c.Mathematics: It includes questions on algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and coordinate geometry.
d.English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning: This section assesses a candidate`s proficiency in English and logical reasoning skills.
Number of Questions: BITSAT typically contains 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
Marking Scheme: Each correct answer is awarded 3 marks. There is also a feature called "bonus marking" where a candidate can attempt 12 extra questions (4 from each section). Each correct answer to these bonus questions is worth 4 marks. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
Total Marks: The maximum total marks a candidate can achieve in BITSAT is 450 (150 questions x 3 marks per question).
Language: BITSAT is available in English medium only.
Test Centers: BITSAT is conducted at various test centers across India.
