About Central Soil Salinity Research Institute:

Central Soil Salinity Research Institute (CSSRI) is a part of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) system. CSSRI was established in the year 1969. It is located in Karnal.  

CSSRI does research on reclamation and sustainable management of salt affected soils and on the use of poor quality waters in agriculture. Central Soil Salinity Research Institute has four divisions - Soil and Crop Management, Crop Improvement, Irrigation and Drainage Engineering and Technology Evaluation and Transfer.

Educational Qualification: 
Candidates Should have Master`s degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Genetics/Biochemistry/Botany or equivalent with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor`s degree or Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor`s degree should have NET qualification. Desirable: Working experience on molecular tools in crop plants and Experience of working in breeding for salt tolerance in crop plants.

A walk-in-interview for position of ONE (1) Senior Research Fellows in below mentioned projects will be conducted at this Institute on 14.03.2018 (Wednesday) at 09:30 AM on contractual basis, which is co-terminus with the projects. The eligible candidates are invited to appear before the Selection Committee for walk-in-interview at ICAR-CSSRI, Karnal.
