About New Delhi Municipal Council:
It was on 12th December 1911 that the transfer of the seat of the Government of India from Calcutta to Delhi was announced. After detailed examination, survey and debate, Raisina Hill was selected as the most appropriate site for the Viceregal Palace and the area East, North and South of it chosen for the new capital. Edwin Lutyens and his compatriot Herbert Baker built the new capital of India Delhi Set-up had recommended that a fresh law governing NDMC should be passed by the Parliament for proper organization and functioning of the New Delhi Municipal Council. Consequent upon enforcement of Constitution (Seventy Fourth Amendment) Act, several provisions in Punjab Municipal Act, 1911 had to be brought in tune with Part IXA of the Constitution before 31st May, 1994.

Educational Qualification:
A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-ll of the third schedule
( other then licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Holders of educational
qualifications included in Part-ll of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-
section (3) of Section (13) of the India Medical Council Act, 1956.

The application in prescribed format complete in all respect, with cadre clearance Curriculum Vitae
(CV) in triplicate, attested photocopies of ACRs/APARs for the last five years, Vigilance clearance,
integrity certificate and statement giving details of major or minor penalties imposed on the Officer during the last ten years, must be sent through proper channel/cadre controlling Authority and should reach to the Secretary, New Delhi Municipal Council, 3rd Floor, Room No. 3003, Palika Kendra, New Delhi latest by 17th October, 2017. An advance copy of the application and application received without
proper channel or with incomplete documents or received after the last date, will not be entertained.
