Score high in APSET and grab your job

Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test is Known by AP – SET . It is conducted by Osmania University for recruiting Assistant Professors and Lecturers in Universities, colleges and Higher Educational Institutions in AP. It is the best opportunity for the one who is looking for Government Lecture Jobs.  This exam is for 24 subjects.

Let me tell about this Exam

APSET is an Eligibility test , candidates need to attempt 3 Papers on the same day. It could be a horrible day staying for the one exam attempting the day long. But to get government job you need to sacrifice.

Paper I is common for all, Paper II and Paper III for subjects can be chosen.

Paper I would be for 1: 15 Hrs, Paper II 1: 15 hrs and Paper III is for 2: 30 hrs. As I said you aspirant has to attempt all the sessions

Eligibility Criteria:

  • ·         The candidates must have Master`s Degree from a UGC recognized university and should have acquired at least 55% marks for General/OBC (50% marks for SC/ST/PH/VH) candidates.
  • ·         Candidates who are pursuing their final year of PG examination and those who are awaiting for final year results are also eligible to apply for this exam.
  • ·         Candidates should appear for AP-SET in the subject of their Post-Graduation only. If in case if your Post-Graduation subject is not included in the SET subject, then you can appear in UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET which is conducted twice a year.
  • ·         There is no upper age limit to apply for AP-SET 2012 exam.

the qualifying criteria and eligibility for Lectureship shall be decided by the Moderation Committee of AP. SET.  The syllabus of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III will be the same as UGC-CSIR and UGC-NET

Exam Pattern :

Paper I Carries 100 Marks for 60 Questions, Paper II Carries 100 Marks for 50 Questions and Paper III Carries 150 Marks for 75 Questions.

After the exam Aspirants must be ready to face Interview.

Remember No negative marks in this exam

Candidates have cutoff marks category wise which are given below

Paper I: General 40 (40%), BC 35(35%), SC/ST/PH/VH 35(35%)

Paper II: General 40(40%), BC 35(35%), SC/ST/PH/VH 35(35%)

Paper III: General 75(50%), BC 67.5(45%) rounded off to 68, SC/ST/PH/VH 60(40%)

Preparation Tips :

  • Most of the questions come from our PG syllabus only Don’t worry about the Question paper.
  • This exam contains Multiple Choice Questions, So you don’t need to worry about the pattern. You can choose the suitable answers if you don’t understand the question.
  • Remember no negative marks but still be perfect with your subject because you are entering in to teaching field, You need to know every corner of the subject.
  • No question comes out of the Syllabus.
  • As the Questions are multiple choice and u have to mark them in OMR sheets. Practice marking the OMR sheet s.
  • Don’t forget to keep HB pencil, Eraser, Ball pen and Sharpener.
  • While attempting the question read all the Questions once and start the exam
  • Paper I will contain 60 Questions in which you have to attempt 50 Questions. Don’t waste your time by thinking about tough question. Answer the questions which you know better.
  • Even though we are graduates still we will be tensed when Exam paper is in front of us, Remember one thing “ If we are tensed we lose marks and we may forget all the answers “ this should be avoided.
  • Take light diet and consume more juices during the exam day, Even though the exam day is so far from know, still take care of your health.

Prepare well for your exam

ALL THE BEST

Hi Chinna, You are going to Write APSET Psychology, if you have done your pg from OU then you can read your academic subjects. There are many books available in the market for APSET exam you can also buy them if you want. Let me tell you APSET is conducted only once where as UGC- NET is conducted twice a year.

Hi suma In APSET Bulletin they have clearly mentioned that Candidates have to appear for AP-SET in the subject of their Post-Graduation only. In case the subject of a candidate is not included in the list of SET subjects, the candidate may appear in UGC-NET / UGC-CSIR NET which is held twice a year. So i think you can write UGC- Net/CSIR NET All the Best suma
